Ulster rider Jamie Lyons has made it to the last 12 in the
British Talent Cup following this week’s selection process.
Initially over 50
competitors battled it out for the final 12 places at Silverstone in a bid to
be on the grid for the 2019 BTC championship.
Nothing is guaranteed still though and we’ll have to wait
until the last BTC round at the Valencia MotoGP to see the final listings, as
some 2018 competitors will continue in 2019.
Jamie has had a terrific season in the Dunlop Masters season
and leads the Junior Cup Championship by a comfortable 147 points. In the
Ulster championship he also has performed well and sits third in the Dunlop
Tyres Short Circuit Junior Cup.
A prime prospect for the future, we look forward to watching
Jamie progress over the next few years.
