Glenn Irwin was crowned winner of the 2017 Macau Grand Prix
following a red flag after 6 laps this morning. Having lead from the start,
Peter Hickman nipped in front on lap one but, Irwin regained the advantage and
began to build a lead of over a second before the stoppage.
This concludes a tremendous season for Glenn, the current
NW200 champion as well as taking his first BSB win.
Peter Hickman finished in 2nd on a Bathams BMW S1000rr and Michael Rutter completed the podium.
Derek Sheils retired safely on the Cookstown BE GSXR 1000 after
starting 9th on the grid.
Sincere good wishes to the unseated rider in his recovery.
Full result to follow.
