In only Andrew’s second full season of racing he has won the Irish Championship. Andrew had a great couple of days at Bishopscourt for the season finale qualifying 2nd. Andrew finished 3rd in race one with his friend and Championship rival Jonny Campbell finishing in second spot.
Andrew had a 12 point lead going into the
final race.
Andrew
had the points worked out and knew exactly what he needed to do to bring the
Championship home as his sister Jodie was keeping him well informed with the
pit board signals. With Jonny again in second spot, fourth place was good
enough to wrap up the title and that’s what he did, riding safe and following
Jordan McCord over the line.
In addition to the Irish Championship Andrew has also won the Belfast and District Championship and finished second in the Ulster Championship.
Now the work begins to get ready for the next chapter which will see Andrew competing in the Thundersport Superteens class.
Massive shout out to all our sponsors and individuals for all their support whom without this wouldn’t happen.
