The Spirit of Dunboyne Festival took place this weekend in fine
September sunshine in the company of some quality machinery.
Remembering the last race of ’67 around the triangle
circuit, competitors new and not so new were given the opportunity to
experience the track once more under closed roads.
All manner and class was represented from BSA Bantam single,
Ducati twin, Suzuki four to Honda six cylinder engine models.
Huge credit to the Dunboyne club for organizing the event
that catered for all ages, with a fantastic funfair in on village green, to
entertain those not impressed with the historic display of bikes and cars.
Many trade stalls also had auto-jumble, old manuals books
and race programmes with was a welcome addition on the green. Plenty of food
outlets were also on hand once one became weary from all the sights.
Credit also must be given to the many, many owners that
chose to enter the event, and we look forward to more of the same in 2018.
