The Faugheen 50 takes place this weekend along the narrow
Tipperary roads and promises to please the spectators that will line the
hedgerows on Saturday and Sunday.
The big names are all there but, every class in the meeting
is also brimming with talent and the grids are full. As well as the Superbikes,
Supersport, Twins and Classics, there’s big in interest in the other
championships going on, such as Junior Support, Senior Support and the rare
outings for 125 and 250cc GP machines.
Practise began this morning with the newcomer’s session and
racing begins on Sunday about 11am. Get there early, buy a programme to support
the hard working club and find a safe spot along the roadside to absorb the
spectacle that is pure Irish Road Racing!
Please respect the local property and land by keeping it
litter free. Please also listen to the marshals in the various zones, trust me,
they are there for your own safety and the safety of the riders.
Best of luck to the Faugheen club, riders, Medical Team and
officials and here’s to a safe weekends racing!
