The RDS hosts this event every second year and this one
catered for everyone. 2-strokes, 4-strokes, choppers, adventurers, Hypersports
and everything in between were on show.
Racing heritage was well represented also with the hugely
popular Joey Dunlop tribute bringing “Wows!” from old and young alike as many
racing clubs and tracks desperate to promote Irish racing which has seen a
noticeable decline in meetings recently.
The show consisted of 3 inner halls containing most of the
major Irish dealerships and clothing\accessory suppliers along with outdoor
demonstrations. All the stands were laid out well and there was plenty of space
to view and interact with the content.
Especially well organized displays were on show from BMW
Motorad Ireland, Rosso Ducati, Honda Ireland, Triumph, Yamaha and the newly
open Indian retailer, Franklin Motorcycles.
Also present for the weekend were some wonderful stands from
RevUp4DSI, Dunboyne Motorclub and the volunteers from Blood Bikes East.
Unfortunately this event doesn’t occur every year in Ireland
so it was a pleasant change to a March Friday morning to spend the day in the
company of quality friends and machinery alike.
