Dublin’s Jack Kennedy will return to the Dickies British Supersport Championship for the 2017 season after signing a new deal with the Tsingtao MV Agusta team.
Kennedy has experienced plenty of race-winning success previously in the Supersport Championship and finished runner-up to Glen Richards in 2012 after a mechanical issue in the final race of the season ended his aspirations of claiming a debut British title.
Kennedy said: “I’m very happy to be back in the Supersport Championship and really looking forward to this challenge with the MV Agusta Team. The Italian brand is iconic and with the support we have in place, I feel we can accomplish great things together this season.
“I’m hungry for results, to have some good racing battles and to be fighting for wins and feel this is definitely possible with this package. I want to thank Dave (Tyson) for the opportunity and to all my loyal sponsors and supporters for their continued support. I’m excited to getting testing underway now and then ready for the opening race at Donington.”
Team Owner Dave Tyson commented: “I’m really pleased we have been able to start to finalise our 2017 plans. We had been talking to Jack since last season and without hesitation we knew he would be a big asset to the team for the new season with his experience in the Supersport class.”
