Saturdays Program Race Order
All our local Irish Championship competitors will no doubt put on the best racing as usual and double IFS David Wood Memorial Trophy winner Nikki Coates will be back to defend his title. Spectators will be treated to a 16 race program with practice at 9am and the first race approximately 11am all for £10 admission. The IFS Pirelli Tyres Supersport class has a healthy £3500 prize fund which the overall winner will pick up the David Wood Memorial Trophy + £1500+ a set of Pirelli Tyres, 2nd place collecting £700 and a rear tyre, 3rd £500 plus a front tyre, 4th – 10th have cash prizes also. The Wiz Knee Sliders/ Charles Hurst Motorcycles Superbike winner will pick up the Joe Lindsay Cup +£800 2nd £500 3rd £400 The other National classes all have overall podium prize fund of 1st £300 2nd £200 and 3rd £100 St Patricks Slemish Water Supersport Cup Walter Bell Oil Fired Boilers Superbike Cup + Sam Martin Cup Rea Timber Craft Supertwins Robinson Concrete Production Twin Ophir Motors Dundrod Sidecars + The Edwin Neill Trophy Presented by The Killinchy & District MCC Nutttravel.Com / Pitlane Bike Services Moto 3 Kenny Duncan Plant, Lightweight Ss400 Sign-Stik Pre Injection Enkalon Club Production 125 YOUNG GUNS/ 305 JUNIOR CUP – 1st £120, 2nd £80 and 3rd £50. In addition to the above there is The Arai Helmet Man of the Meeting award which the winner will receive a New Arai Chaser V helmet + £300. Various other fastest lap awards will be made and a special MCRRCI David Wood Endeavour Award to a club member who in the Clubs opinion has improved greatly this season. The Motor Cycle Road Racing Club of Ireland Ltd are proud to see this event growing which seems to be on a monthly basis now and hope it’s a fitting tribute to David Wood, we are looking forward to the event on the 17th September at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit, Downpatrick. We expect a large entry of Irelands top Short Circuit competitors plus the Road Racers with such an attractive prize fund and would remind competitors to get their entry in before the 3rd September and take advantage of the discounted entry fee! Moto Direct will be providing a free Arai Helmet service and advice at the event which is something new for the Short Circuit competitors. Ernie Coates will have his paddock services and Pirelli tyre fitting available as always. Alan Patterson and Ivan McKillop will also provide their services. Spectators can enjoy the daylong event for only £10 admission payable at the gate. Full catering service is available on site, toilet blocks around the circuit. Come along and mingle in the paddock with the riders.
