17th September at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit will see the third running
of The David Wood Memorial Trophy Races.
The Motor Cycle Road Racing
Club of Ireland Ltd are proud to see the event grow each year and in
2016 we welcome the IFS Global Logistics onboard as our title sponsor of
the event.
IFS a long time supporter of the local competitors at home
and world events over the years and have had involvement with David’s
Team Wood in the past with James Courtney and IFS Ducati.
IFS are also a massive supporter of the Irish Short Circuit
Championships winning five titles in superbike and supersport classes
2015 with Ryan Rainey and Robert English. Our thanks goes to Graeme
Hanna for his valued support as it was important for us as a promoting
club to attain a title sponsor for this event which will hopefully help
secure the foreseeable future of the event.

Belfast, they have exciting changes to their dealership this year and
there is no better way to promote it, other than with Irelands leading
Short Circuit event. David White and his sales team at Hurst Motor
Cycles have been providing great race packages to competitors and public
through the Yamaha dealership over many years. In Charles Hurst
Motorcycles history we have the David Wood connection; David worked in
the Superbike centre with Alfie Myers (ex racer) in Donegall Pass before
the Hurst group bought it over and moved to it Boucher Road.
“Mega Exciting” is the only way to describe this year’s event. We have the continued support of Pirelli Tyres, Arai Helmets, WIZ knee

prizefund of £10,000 for the event.
The Pirelli - David Wood Memorial
Trophy Supersport class winner collecting £1500 plus the trophy plus a
set of Pirelli tyres.
All classes benefit from a cash prizes and
products.
The Arai man of the meeting will again collect a new Arai
Helmet plus £300.
We endeavour to attract more partners and sponsors
for this event and will release more details of them over July and
August.
